Forced To Smell Her Feet

Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Yes! Today, my beloved and me managed to watch the new Potter movie - in english. Without crappy synchronisation.

Woah. Finally again a movie I didn't watch at home. This "morning" at 11o'clock. Not many people around to see the original version.
Gotta say I liked it. I'm not in the mood to write a proper review 'cause I'm to lazy but my impressions are quite good.

First of all: the damn bloody fucking soundtrack. I just love it. The new theme is fantastic, very stunning. Somehow sad 'cause of the darker topics.

First scene was mean when Hermine left her parents with no memories of her to protect them. Well, and the newspapers filled with obituaries...

They finally introduced Bill Weasly, a character I was waiting for since he first appeared in the books but never showed up in the movies. Like him. He's cool.

The take where Harry's friends change to look like him was hilarious! Fleure: "Don't look at me, Bill, I'm hideous!"
Somehow sad when Hedwig died. But not so much to me 'cause I didn't read the seventh book and the scene was so very short. Mad Eye Moody's death was just mentioned, too. So no tears. Wow...

Uhm...the scene George lost his ear was cute in a very strange way 'cause Fred cared so much about his brother and the comversation was quite touching and funny as well.

Liked the wedding but found it sad when the Deatheaters appeared.

Ok, that's a stupid way to describe the movie. Just let's say I liked it a lot. It was sad, exciting, very stunning pictures of Scotland (oh my, I love the landscape), great soundtrack, a few scenes were absolutely brilliant in their own way and I developed a thing for Grindelwald. His younger self looked pretty cool. The coat he wore was totally my thing.

Oh and Hermine and Harry were in the forest of Dean for a short time. Yunis and me think it was exactly the same place used in Merlin. Gotta travel there someday 'cause the forest seems to be really amazing. I love trees.
...do I sound like a tree hugger now?
And we suspect this one bay to be the well known "Doctor Who" bay. Possible? Guess so.

I'm definetively lookin' forward to the second part next year.
