Yes yes, we all know I have a thing for America. But that doesn't mean that I don't see that many stereotypes about Americans are true. Best proof of that I ever got? I got it a few weeks back and it went something like this:

I was on a bus, still from Sachsenhausen, to the main station and there was a group of people, talking in English. Apparently only one of them was a native, obviously American, and he was saying all these touristy kinda things. It was all fine until this question:
"So where is the Great Wall?"
The other two were just perplexed and asked what he was on about.
"Oh, the Great Wall that divides Germany..... where does it begin? Is it anywhere near here?" followed by lah-di-dah-people, including myself should know so much more about these things but, oh gosh, don't you just forget the details? and the final "Oh, I just know there * is * a Great Wall!"
Then I left the bus one stop early because I had to laugh and it was not far anyway.

Dude, way to confirm the stupid American cliche! (And by the way, we are not in China)
